You may be interested in becoming a volunteer for a program called ‘English 4 Refugees’. This is an online program for refugees (mostly Ukrainian) that are currently in Europe and the UK. There are two options for your consideration.
- Option 1: Volunteer to become a Conversation Partner for 1 to 2 hours per week. Volunteers will be partnered with a refugee participant and provide them the opportunity to practice their English.
- Option 2: Volunteer 3 hours/week to teach an 8-week intensive short course to help global refugees (mostly Ukrainian) with learning the basics of the English language to help them adjust as they settle into their new homes and countries. You must be a certified English language teacher (certifications like TESL, TEFL, TESOL, CELTA – teaching English as a second language and have experience teaching online to groups of 10 to 12 adults via Zoom.
