This is a special screening of Olha Zhurba’s soul-stirring documentary Songs of Slow Burning Earth, which takes place on Wednesday, September 9th at the VIFF (1181 Seymour St, Vancouver). The film premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and documents the first two years after full-scale invasion with incredible artistry and empathy.
Tickets:
- General admission tickets are $40 and include the screening, performance, and a small gift to take home.
- A limited number of VIP tickets are $100 and include admission to the event, a lovingly curated gift bag of Ukrainian treats and handicrafts, and a drink ticket.
- A “donation only” ticket is available for those who are unable to attend but would still like to help Ukrainian defenders.
